Acushnet is an Indian name. The town was founded in 1860. The Centennial Celebration in 1960 included the crowning of a Miss Centennial. 2010 is the 150th Sesquicentennial year. We also included a pageant with 52 contestants vying for 4 titles. The top winner was crowned with the Indian Princess tiara in front of an audience of over 600. This crown along with 3 others from this website were outstanding! There were many compliments on the sparkle! An excellent quality product that was the perfect choice for our historic event.
